Standard Organizationof Nigeria (SON) is the government body in charge of the formulation and implementation of import and domestic manufacturing quality standards in Nigeria. After years of implementation of the SONCAP in Nigeria, the new SONCAP policy will be implemented in April 1, 2013 with the latest notification. Compared with the previous SONCAP, the change will be great. The exporter does not apply for SONCAP for each shipment, instead of applying for COC., the exporter receives the COC and provides the importer with the SC. SC, which is directly requested by the importer at the local SONCAP institution. In addition, on-site sampling tests, inspection and monitoring are required according to the product risk category.
Nigeria COC certification in three forms
Route A, for occasional shipments a year
The exporter of goods after production, the goods will be inspected by the inspector, and then from the bulk sample testing, after passing the test, issued by the PR report, carry out monitoring equipment and seals, qualified certificate issued by CoC.
The documents to be submitted are as follows:
1) CoC application form
2) product name, product photo, customs code;
3) case list
4) proforma invoice
5) FORMM number
Route B, for the product shipped several times a year.
First of all, the exporter applies for PC, and the process of applying for PC is as follows:
1) PC application form;
2) product name, product photo, customs code;
3) qualified inspection report issued by ISO 17025 laboratory;
4) conduct system audits of the plant
PC will be valid for one year after it is available.
After the production of the goods in the factory, apply for CoC process is as follows:
1) CoC application form;
2) case list;
3) proforma invoice;
4) FORMM number
After complete data, the goods of a certain rate of inspection, sampling testing and supervision, the ratio of not less than 40%, qualified issued CoC certificate.
Route C, for frequent shipments a year.
First, the factory applies for Licence, and the application conditions are as follows:
1) there are at least 4 or more successful applications on the basis of RouteB;
2) conduct two audits of the plant and be qualified.
3) qualified inspection report issued by ISO 17025 laboratory;
License is valid for one year.
After the production of the goods in the factory, apply for CoC process is as follows:
5) CoC application form;
6) case list;
7) proforma invoice;
8) FORMM number
After the data is complete, the goods must be checked and installed at a certain rate, not less than two times a year.

STEP 2, COC $300
At least 40% of the shipment votes per quarter shall be inspected, sampled and sealed

C pathway
STEP 1:LICENSE license is valid for one year
A. issued a valid type test report by ISO/IEC 17025 certified Laboratory
B. has two qualified factory inspection records and four qualified transaction records
The C. license grants only one manufacturer of a product that does not apply to the exporter and / or supplier

At least once every six months, inspection, inspection, loading
